Description
Junction City Main Street is preparing to launch Main Street Market 2023. There will be two open air markets within one, a Farmers' Market and a Makers' Market, both of which will be located in the historic district of downtown Junction City. The Farmers' Market is scheduled for 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM and the Makers' Market is 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM. In addition to the Farmers' Market and Makers' Market, there will be music, entertainment, educational events, themes, and a variety of activities throughout the season. There is a plan in place to have SNAP acceptance for Main Street Market 2024. The Main Street Market Manager was selected by the Kansas Department of Rural Prosperity as one of twelve Rural Champions. Additionally, financial support is being received from Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation Heartland Challenge grant through the Flinthills Regional Council.
