Description

Kernza was developed in Kansas as the world's first perennial grain crop. Since it can grow for years with a single planting, it develops large roots that help to prevent erosion, build soil carbon, and prevent runoff. Its pleasant, nutty flavor is a favorite new ingredient in many breads, beers, and pastas. Sustain-A-Grain grows Kernza perennial grain in McPherson and Marion Counties and creates delicious new foods like Kernza Egg Noodles.
