Sloppy Joes-1

Recipe from Chef Alli's Farm Fresh Kitchen


Create this is your favorite (large) cast iron skillet.  It?s great for any gathering and I love to take it to tailgate parties ? the kids (young and old alike) always go crazy over it.

 


  • 2 lbs. ground beef, 95% lean

  • 1 yellow onion, diced

  • 1 ½ tsp. ground cumin

  • 1 cup Fine Vines Sriracha Artisanal Ketchup

  • 1 cup frozen corn

  • 1 (14 oz.) can black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Sloppy Joes-2


Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat until hot.  Add ground beef, onion and cumin; cook 10-12 minutes, breaking into ¾ inch crumbles and stirring occasionally until cooked throughout. Drain fats, then stir in ketchup, corn, beans, and tomato sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, stirring often.  Stir in cilantro; season to taste with salt and black pepper. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
