The Belleville Farmers Market is a smaller market that has astounding community support. Being a market that caters to all ages, it is a great place for the entire family to enjoy.  The vendors offer products from fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and fresh flowers to cookies, kolaches, breads and jellies.

Being that Belleville is a larger senior citizen community it was important for the Belleville Farmers? Market to focus on the older generation.  Each week some seniors call ahead to put in an order and when they arrive someone with the market will carry the bag of food to the senior?s car.  The market also offers the Senior Farmers? Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) a service offered by the United States Department of Agriculture that provides low-income seniors with coupons to exchange for eligible foods at farmers? markets, community-supported agriculture programs and roadside stands.

The market was recently featured at the annual American Ag Heritage Festival in Belleville, Kansas that took place on July 5. The festival celebrates our American freedom and deep agricultural heritage. It was a great place to host the weekly farmers market drawing large crowds of people to shop locally.

The market is open 8-11 a.m. every Saturday morning from Memorial Day to the end of September.  You can find the market at Republic County Courthouse square 1815 Main.  For more information on the market visit Belleville Chamber &  Main Street Facebook for updates.
