The buzz behind AJ Honey Farms

October 1, 2024

There is nothing sweeter than fresh, local honey, and AJ Honey Farms in Salina offers an incredible variety of Kansas honey and bee-related products. From liquid honey to beeswax candles, this local business delivers the best that Kansas bees have to offer.

In 2016, Allen and Judy Stovall, owners of AJ Honey Farms, began their beekeeping journey by rescuing lost bee swarms from truck stop canopies. What started as a backyard hobby has since grown into a full-scale operation that led to the Stovall’s opening their store front in 2023. AJ Honey Farms offer not only fresh honey but also beekeeping supplies, swarm removal services, and even mentoring for other local beekeepers. Their love for bees and honey shines through in every product they create, whether it’s their alfalfa-clover honey or handcrafted beeswax candles.

Located in Salina, AJ Honey Farms offers a wide range of honey products, including liquid honey, comb honey, whipped honey, and naturally crystallized honey. They also offer pollination services and sell hive supplies, providing everything new and experienced beekeepers need to succeed. Allen and Judy’s dedication to quality is evident in their small-batch approach, ensuring that every product is carefully crafted and packaged for the best experience.

Not only do the Stovall’s offer honey and bee-related products, but on their website, you can purchase honeybee colonies. There is a variety of colonies to help you find the perfect fit for your beekeeping journey. A few of the colonies they have available are Italian honeybees that are perfect for beginners, as well as Carniolan, and Buckfast honeybees.

In the coming weeks, AJ Honey Farms will have a booth at the following events:

  • November 2; Holiday Shopping Extravaganza in McPherson
  • November 9; Prairie Patch Craft Show in Gypsum
