Meet Our Intern: Ainsley Pecenka

Ainsley Pecenka, from Spring Hill, Kansas, is a junior at Kansas State University majoring in Animal Science and Industry with a minor in Marketing. Her passion for agriculture and communication led her to this internship, where she saw an exciting opportunity to promote Kansas-made products and help connect consumers with producers. Throughout her internship experience, Ainsley has enjoyed expanding her knowledge of the different types of media. One of her favorite experiences so far has been working the From the Land of Kansas booth at the Kansas State Fair, where she was able to see firsthand the logistics of an event and how local products are showcased to the public.
After graduation, Ainsley hopes to pursue a career in agricultural marketing, where she can use social media and other marketing tools to bridge the gap between consumers and producers, fostering a better understanding of where food comes from and the people behind it. She is passionate about using communication to make agriculture more accessible, engaging, and transparent to the public.
