Manhattan Farmers' Market

October 1, 2021 | Farmers markets
While we may be saying goodbye to some of Kansas' favorite tastes of summer, such as sweet corn and watermelon, let's not forget that all things fall are on the horizon! Visiting a farmers' market may be an item on many people's summer to-do list, but how can we ensure they also visit our fall and winter markets?

One market that continues to operate throughout the fall is located in Manhattan. Established in 1979, it is one of the oldest in the state. Today, you can find the Downtown Farmers' Market of Manhattan at the corner of 3rd and Leavenworth street. They have many different vendors providing various goods such as fresh produce, baked goods, jewelry and crafts, and of course, local beef that is raised in the Flint Hills. They also host various food trucks on Wednesdays that offer delicious choices to draw customers to the market.

To kick off the fall season, the Manhattan Farmers' Market is hosting a Fall Fun Kickoff on October 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you're looking for ways to celebrate the season at your own market, consider hosting your own fall celebration, or try one of their other holiday event ideas like a Trick or Treating EventHoliday Market or Chritkindl event!

The Manhattan Farmers' Market is open on Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00 p.m. through September and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. through October. From November to March their hours are 9:00 a.m.-1:00p.m. on Saturdays
