Brock and Bryttni Miller, along with their two children, Dayton and Annabelle, proudly operate Yucca Flats Cattle Co., located just north of Burdett, Kansas. As fifth-generation farmers and ranchers, the Millers continue a family legacy of raising cattle and caring for the land they call home. Their operation includes cow/calf pairs, developing replacement heifers, grazing feeder cattle, and running a starter yard, all while finishing cattle that produce premium, grain-finished beef. Their products are sold locally at 156 Stop-N-Go, the Millers other business in Burdett, and all Moeder’s Meats locations.

After spending nearly, a decade away from his hometown, Brock returned to the land and lifestyle he loves. His passion for managing cattle and preserving the natural resources of Kansas is reflected in the daily operations at Yucca Flats. The Millers are deeply committed to ensuring that their cattle are raised responsibly. The focus on quality genetics allows them to produce consistently tender and flavorful Kansas beef. Customers can count on the same high-quality product every time, as all their cows come from the same family line. “We know for a fact that the meat delivered to you will be the same this time, next time, and for many more after that,” says Bryttni.

In addition to beef, Yucca Flats Cattle Co. offers handcrafted seasonings designed to complement their meat. Current flavors include “Steak Cover,” perfect for enhancing steaks, and “Fajita Cover,” ideal for beef fajitas. Brock oversees the outdoor operations, while Bryttni manages accounting and marketing. Their roles often overlap, and their favorite days are the ones when they work together with their children.

 “The best part about our business and what we do is that we get to do it as a family.  We can raise our kids literally “in the business.” said Brytnni. Dayton, age seven, is already an active participant, helping Brock with feeding decisions and assisting in caring for cattle in the starter yard. Annabelle, age four, is known for naming the cattle and checking on the water wells. Both children help with branding, weaning, and pasture management, learning firsthand the importance of hard work, and responsibility. “We also get to live exactly where we want to be - close to family, experiencing God’s beauty in central Kansas each day, care for the land He created work in the industry we are passionate about, and create ways for our business to build/help our small community.”
