The U.S. is the second largest producer of apples in the world, and is a crop that is growing in popularity in Kansas.
Fresh food can be grown anywhere - including a rooftop in Wichita, Kansas! Did you know specialty crops include not only fruits and vegetables, but tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture)?
The video series is made possible by the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant awarded to the Kansas Department of Agriculture. The video series will provide specialty crop growers and consumers with tools to help spread awareness and excitement of specialty crops and the unique on-farm experiences they provide throughout the state.
