New Hire Spotlight: From the Land of Kansas Summer Intern

Taylor Romanchek is a Kansas native, born and raised in Topeka. She attended Washburn University for her undergrad where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass media with double minors in leadership and communication studies. Romanchek is now a first-year graduate student at Kansas State University majoring in communication studies with a focus on organizational and international communications.

After graduation, Romanchek hopes to pursue a career in international marketing and public relations where she can utilize her social media and event planning skills to connect international brands with consumers all over the world. She is passionate about utilizing digital and physical spaces to educate others on businesses, products, and resources that consumers should be actively invested in.

Her passion for farmers’ markets and content strategy led her to the From the Land of Kansas internship where she is excited to learn more about Kansas producers and the best ways to promote them. Romanchek looks forward to supporting the team through the summer and learning more about the role From the Land of Kansas plays in promoting Kansas-based products.

“I have always had a love for farmers markets and media so when I saw the posting for this role I jumped at the chance to apply,” said Romanchek. “I am really excited to learn from the From the Land of Kansas team and get to interact with members over the summer.”

So far, Romanchek has enjoyed being actively involved in the team already, learning about From the Land of Kansas initiatives and impact.
