Great Bend Summer Street Stroll Farmers Market is a downtown open-air evening market in Jack Kilby Square on the East Side of the Courtyard space on Thursdays during the growing season (May to October).
Special events such as the City Band Concerts and Movies in the Park are held at the historic band shell along with the market on Thursday evenings during the summer and downtown stores have later hours to accommodate area shoppers visiting the market and events. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, honey, art and handmade crafts are the focus of the Summer Street Stroll Farmers Market and local vendors are encouraged to participate for the entire summer. This market also serves as the designated market for the Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Barton County where seniors may redeem checks for locally grown fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, and honey.
